JUST ANNOUNCED!  Senator Ron Wyden Town Hall Meeting – Merlin

What: Senator Ron Wyden Town Hall meeting When: May 5, 2017   12:45 PM Where: North Valley High School Gym, 6741 Monument Drive, Grants Pass, OR Details: Make sure Senator Wyden hear from you!  Take I-5 north to Exit 61 (Merlin exit). Go left, back under the freeway and turn right on Monument Drive for about 2.3 miles and turn right into the High School driveway to the parking lot.  Look for the gym.


Support HB 3226 to Update the Oregon Forest Practices Act

Action:  Call or email your State Representatives and urge them to support HB 3226 which would establish criteria for better protection natural resource values on private forestland. When:  Now Details: Oregon has weaker private forestry laws than California, Washington, and Idaho and these weak laws are leaving Oregonian’s clean drinking water and sustainable forests at risk! Take action; demand responsible logging and support comprehensive reform today! HB 3226 will make the Oregon Forest Practices Act consistent with best available science and best practices already in use by sustainable forestry leaders.  Oregon’s Forest Practices Act has not been significantly updated since it was enacted in 1972 and should reflect the most current scientific knowledge.  This is a comprehensive bill that addresses a long list of changes that need to be made to protect the ecology and sustainability of our forests.
